A little ego brushing

Yesterday I was officially awarded a giza:xede grant. Well, my employer was, actually. This is a funding programme of the regional government of Bizkaia to help universities and research centres in attracting and hiring highly qualified or brilliant young researchers.

I don’t think I qualify as a young researcher, so I guess I am just highly qualified.

Anyway, it is nice to have one’s work recognised in such a way. My little moment of glory.

Secondliving

I know, I know. I have been neglecting this blog for a few weeks. I am sorry.

I’ve got an excuse, though. I have been very busy in Second Life. One of the first things I read about Second Life is that it is guaranteed to blow your mind away if you are just mildly creative. I must be very creative, because it did blow my mind away, actually.
